Rosters are closed for the 25-26 season. Registration information for the 26-27 season will be posted here in March. 

SEASON OVERVIEW

DC EDGE will be evaluating skaters for the following team levels:

  • Snowplow
  • Aspire 1-4
  • Preliminary, Pre-Juvenile, Open Juvenile
  • Juvenile, Intermediate, Novice, Junior
  • Adult, Masters

Tryouts will be March 21-22 for youth teams and in May/June for adult teams. Spring training begins for all youth teams at the end of April and runs through the middle of June, with Memorial Day weekend off. Our season resumes the week of July 27 for preliminary and higher level teams, and our aspire teams return to the ice the last weekend in August. Our adult and masters teams will begin their season the week of July 27. Our season concludes at the end of February. 

 

DC EDGE practices in four facilities: Cabin John Ice Rink, Wheaton Ice Arena, Medstar Capitals Iceplex and Skate Frederick. Practice days, times and locations depend on team level. From September-February, most of our teams will skate early on a weekend morning. Our competition and exhibition schedule will be decided based on teams fielded and US Figure Skating event dates. More information will be provided with your placement letter.

Fall Classic (Nov.) – Juvenile, Intermediate, Novice, Junior
Boston Classic (Nov.) – all teams except Aspire levels, Adult & Masters
Dr. Porter (Dec.) – Juvenile, Open Juvenile, Intermediate, Novice, Adult, Masters
South Atlantic Synchro Open (Dec.) – Aspire levels, Preliminary, Pre-Juvenile
Colonials (Jan.) – all teams except Junior, Adult & Masters
Easterns (Jan.) – all teams except Aspire levels and Junior *pending Team USA status
Reflections (Feb.) – Aspire levels
Year End Exhibition/Nationals Send Off (Feb) – all teams
Nationals (Feb.) – Juvenile, Intermediate, Novice, Junior, Adult, Masters *pending qualification
